Lorie ＆ Friendsの前作のカバー「心の友／五輪真弓」が80年代を代表する、“静”の代表アーティストだとすると、
今回のカバー曲は、“動”の代表アーティストとも言えるアンルイスが、86年にリリースしたアルバム「遊女」に収められた「あゝ無情」。
ニューミュージックの全盛期であった80年代の日本の音楽シーンにおいて、“歌謡ロック“というジャンルを築き上げた名曲である。Lorieののびやかで太い歌声は、この名曲を表現するのにピタリとマッチしている。
シンガーとしての幅の広い表現力を、しっかりと主張した心憎い選曲だ。

フィリピン出身で日本在住の実力派シンガー、FLORDELIZA SAMPANI NAKAGAWA 通称 “Lorie （ローリー）”が、
待望のカバーアルバムを「Lorie & Friends」名義でリリースする。
洋楽カバーアルバムと、邦楽カバーアルバムの2枚を予定しているということだが、先行デジタルシングルは、「心の友」（こころのとも）。
この曲は五輪真弓が1982年に発表したアルバム『潮騒』に収録された楽曲である。発表当時は、シングルカットされておらず、日本国内よりもインドネシアで普及し、第2の国歌と言われるほど世代を超えて日本語で歌い継がれている。
日本在住の、ミャンマー人有志によるコーラス参加もあり、広くアジア全域に向けた祈りを感じさせる、壮大なスケールの仕上がりとなっている。
